.:the learning stages:.

hey there, aunts and uncles... this is a bragging post, so if you are NOT interested in the developments of the little lady in the house just skip this one, ok?

here we go in another update on the little bean... she is making more complex sentences day after day, and her mum could not be any more proud... she blurts out things like "mamae, non in strada, è pericoloso. vieni sul marciapiedi." (mum, not on the street, it is dangerous. come to the sidewalk.) I know, pretty amazing stuff, huh? I remember the days when I was all like: "oh, wow, it looks like she can really see me!" time flies *snif, snif...

another big hit here is the ability of drawing people... yep, this one has been going on for some time now, but still, she goes on: "un'occhio, due occhi, un nasino, una bocca, una testa, i cappelli, e i vestiti... guarda, la mamae..." all this to say, she ALWAYS explains what she is drawing, and most often than not, it makes sense...

As for more practical things, she can brush her teeth and wash her hands alone (I get a check on the brushing department though), get on and off her coat and hat, jump and hop, climb down the back of the couch (yep, that one sucks), throw things away in the correct recycling bins without being told to (ha, this one makes up for the couch rebellion, doesn't it?)...

She still loves being around kids, and now she wants to comfort crying children, isn't it just sweet? She keeps rubbing their backs and saying: "non piangere"... (*Awnnnnnn... mum smilling) Luckily she's been accepted at nursery school for next year, starting in September with her friends... funny enough, she is the only girl at her age range amongst our acquaintances... Including families with 3 kids, all boys... what to say, she is going to be a tough lady, one needs to learn how to stand their ground...

I'm sure there are thousand other small things that she does or doesn't do, but I don't remember right now, if you are curious just ask and I will get back to you on that...

that's all for today, guys... come back after carnival ends with the festivities, if we manage to squeeze any of that with all the rain we are getting... at least the mountains look gorgeous, all white from the windows...
